Delete your TrailBound account
Developer: Josh Sharrer, doing business as TrailBound · App: TrailBound (com.DaemonHunter.TrailBound)
You can delete your TrailBound account and the data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do it.
Option 1: Delete in the app (immediate)
- Open TrailBound and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account. The same option is under Profile → Privacy → Delete Account.
- Confirm twice. Your account is deleted right away and you are signed out on this device.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in, send an email:
To: support@trail-bound-app.com
Subject: Delete my TrailBound account
From: the email address on your TrailBound account (or, if you signed in with Apple and used Hide My Email, tell us your username).
We verify the request by replying to the account email address, then delete the account within 7 days and confirm by email.
What is deleted
- Your profile (email, display name, username, bio, location text, profile photo)
- Your machines and their photos
- Your recorded ride tracks (GPS history)
- Friend links and pending friend requests
- Your block list and notification settings
- Push notification tokens
- Your sign-in credentials, including revocation of Sign in with Apple
What is kept
- Rides and trails you created stay available to the community with your name removed, because other members depend on them.
- Messages you sent stay visible to the other participants of that chat and are shown as from "Deleted User".
- Abuse reports about other users that you submitted are kept, without your identity, so we can act on them.
- Crash reports already sent to Sentry expire automatically after 90 days. Routine backups are rotated within 30 days.
Deleting only some data
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data. In the app you can edit or clear your profile fields, remove machines, delete individual recorded rides, and leave groups and chats. Email us if you need help removing something specific.
See our Privacy Policy for full details on what we collect and how long we keep it.
